Beinn Dubh Thunder In The Glens 20th Anniversary (70cl, 43%)

This is a Beinn Dubh single malt made at the Speyside Distillery, created for the 20th anniversary of Thunder in the Glens, the largest Harley-Davidson rally in Britain. Harley-Davidson enthusiast George 'Mad Dog' McGuire chose it in May during a visit to the distillery. The whisky was matured in ex-port casks and is bottled at 43% in an edition of 10,000 bottles. It is bottled without added colour and without chill filtration, so its very dark colour comes from the cask alone. The distillery stands near Aviemore, closer to the source of the River Spey than any other Scottish distillery. It was built by converting an 18th-century barley mill and farm, and the original mill and water wheel still work.
