Belfour Small Batch Straight Bourbon (50.3%)

This is the first Small Batch from Belfour, a straight bourbon bottled at 100.5 proof. It is a wheated bourbon, and it was a one-time release made from only 95 barrels. It appears a medium amber. Wildflower honey runs through the aroma, and the palate is creamy and sweet, leading to a finish that is complex and evolving. The nose offers freshly made caramel, wildflower honey, gardenia and hints of mulling spices. The palate has a creamy coating of caramel, chocolate, hazelnut and pecan. The finish brings honey graham cracker, candied orange peel, sweet pipe tobacco and light peppermint.
