Bellarine Willie Wagtail Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 50%)

Willie Wagtail is a non-peated Australian single malt from Bellarine Distillery, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 161 bottles were released, making it the smallest release of 2026 and the final whisky in that year's Rare Flight collection. It matured in a third-fill 100 litre French oak cask that had held Pinot Noir from Scotchmans Hill Winery. The well-seasoned cask lets the new make spirit lead. The nose is lemon meringue pie, vanilla wafer and Amaretti biscuits. On the palate are coconut friands, toasted sourdough with cashew butter and a drizzle of honey. The finish is satin-textured and mouth-coating, with lingering creaminess and a long malted fade.
