This is a ten-year-old single malt from Ben Nevis, distilled in 2015 at the Fort William distillery in the Highlands. Signatory Vintage selected it as a single cask for its 100 Proof Edition, and it is bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colouring.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Oloroso sherry butts.
The nose offers raisins, apricots, brown sugar, vanilla and warm oak, with dark chocolate and orange peel. The palate brings honey and caramel alongside figs, prunes, walnuts, cinnamon and cloves. The finish is long, with sherry, light tannin and warm cocoa.
