A ten-year-old Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, bottled in the 1990s at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. That strength was typical of Ben Nevis, which kept to 46% through the 1970s and 1980s, when 40% was popular and thought more drinkable. The distillery is owned by a Japanese company, Kirin. Ben Nevis uses wooden washbacks and brewer's yeast, and is described as the last distillery in Scotland to ferment this way. Distillation is slow and steady, giving a rich, deep distillate that matures well in ex-sherry casks.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
