A 10 year old Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, the distillery founded in 1825 at the foot of Britain's highest mountain. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured mainly in ex-bourbon American oak casks, with a portion in sherry casks.
The nose combines sweet malt, ripe orchard fruits, honeycomb and coastal brine, with a little oak. On the palate it is creamy, with toffee, vanilla, green apple, baking spices and a gentle nuttiness. The finish runs medium to long, with warmth, dried fruits, a hint of dark chocolate and light saltiness.
