A 12 year old single malt from Ben Nevis, the Highland distillery at the foot of Britain's highest mountain in Fort William, bottled by Milroy's at 51.5%. It matured in an active American oak hogshead, which has added pineapple, ripe banana and jam doughnut notes to the complex, funky profile expected from the distillery. Ben Nevis was founded in 1825 by John MacDonald, known as Long John. The overall impression is of a full, oily and distinctly funky malt.
