This Ben Nevis single malt was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2013 after 15 years in a single sherry cask, number 586. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is not chill filtered.
Ben Nevis is a Highland distillery at the foot of Britain's highest mountain, drawing its water from the Allt a Mhuilinn.
The nose is rich with dried fruits, dark chocolate and Christmas cake, with polished leather, orange peel and oak spice. The palate is full-bodied and sherried, with dried figs, raisins and candied orange, then toffee, nutmeg, cinnamon and a touch of coffee. The finish is long and warming, with sweet spices, dried fruit, dark chocolate and a hint of tobacco.
