This is a 15-year-old single cask Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, bottled by DS Tayman at 50.75% abv. It is the second release in the bottler's Cognac Series, which pairs Scotch whisky with ex-Cognac casks. This one spent its 15 years in a Tonneau Cognac cask, and it is bottled at natural colour without chill-filtration.
The nose is juicy fruit and sherbet sweetness wrapped in creamy vanilla oak. On the palate there is ripe mango and candy canes. The finish brings nutmeg, a trace of white pepper and lingering vanilla warmth.
