This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, distilled in 2007 and bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh from a single second fill sherry hogshead. It is bottled at 48.9% ABV, and the cask gave 339 bottles.
The long maturation gives the distillery's weighty style a more settled and polished feel.
The nose is baked apple, honey, citrus peel and soft earthiness. The palate is full and rounded, with orchard fruit, malt sweetness, peppery spice and polished oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering fruit, spice and gentle wood.
