This is an independent Ben Nevis from Signatory Vintage, part of its 100 Proof series. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 at 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle.
The 10-year-old malt matured in a first-fill Pedro Ximenez butt and a second-fill Oloroso sherry butt, which give it a deeper colour and a richer palate.
The nose is dark fruit, a little wood, plums, caramel and balsamic. The palate is oily with a spicy start, then berries, chocolate, nuts, pepper and ginger. The finish carries nuts, caramel, wood and spice.
