Ben Nevis – 25 Year Old (1984/2010) Single Cask #98/35/1 (70cl, 56%)

This is a 25-year-old Ben Nevis, distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2010 from a single cask, number 98/35/1. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration. Ben Nevis is a distillery in the Western Highlands, at the foot of the UK's highest mountain. The nose has dried fruits, honeyed oak, dark chocolate and antique leather, with beeswax and a hint of heather. The palate brings stewed orchard fruits, dark toffee, toasted nuts and warm spices, with subtle maritime notes. The finish is long and warming, with dried apricot, oak spice, gentle smoke and lingering sweet maltiness.
