This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt from Benriach, a distillery founded in 1898.
It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and virgin oak casks.
The nose is typically described as honey, creamy hazelnuts, baked apples, ginger and apricots. On the palate come honeyed malt, toasted oak, stone fruits and cinnamon-baked apples, with wisps of smoke running through.
