BenRiach – Smoke Season (70cl, 52.8%)

BenRiach Smoke Season is a peated Speyside single malt, released in small batches at 52.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made entirely from BenRiach's peated spirit, distilled from malted barley peated to 45 ppm, and celebrates the time of year when peated malt runs through the stills. It matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and virgin American oak, and is bottled without chill-filtering or added colour. The nose offers caramel smoke, oak spice and citrus peel. On the palate it is smoky, with vanilla, cinnamon, apple, orange, apricot, roasted almonds and mocha cream. The finish is fruity and oaky.
