Benriach – The Smoky Ten 10 Year Old (70cl)

This is Benriach The Smoky Ten, a 10 year old Speyside whisky in a 70cl bottle. Benriach began distilling peated whisky in the early 1970s, using malted barley smoked with Highland peat, which is rich in wood and gives sweet, smoky notes. The whisky combines unpeated and peated spirit from three casks, each matured for at least ten years in bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum barrels and toasted virgin oak. The palate shows ripe fruit, aromatic smoke and toasted oak spice. The finish is sweet and smoky.
