Benriach The Smoky Ten is a ten-year-old Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's redesigned core range of 2020, where it can be seen as the successor to Curiositas.
The whisky is made from peated and unpeated distillates, echoing the distillery's return in the early seventies to the peated style of the 19th century, using heavily peated malted barley. It is matured in three kinds of cask: ex-bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks and charred virgin oak. The spirits from these casks are then married.
