A 27 year old Benrinnes from Speyside, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2025 as part of the second batch of Thompson Bros Mystery Malt. It comes from a single recharred cask, at 48.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and only 44 bottles were produced.
Benrinnes sits on the lower slopes of a Speyside mountain. Its make has a meaty character, helped by cold worm tubs and, for many years, a partial triple distillation.
