A 28 year old Benrinnes from Speyside, distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2025 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society at 47% ABV. It is a single cask release of 222 bottles in 70cl, called The Snaking Coil and part of The Creators Collection Tales Of The Wormtub. The whisky spent its first 26 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, then moved to a first fill American oak PX hogshead for the rest of its maturation. The nose combines marzipan, dark chocolate and apple tobacco with rose petals, allspice and sherry, then leather, polished mahogany, plums, bananas and fudge. The palate shows ginger wine, manuka honey and whisky liqueur. The finish brings quince, coconut and cherry sweets with hibiscus.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
