This is an 8 year old Benrinnes bottled by Douglas Laing for its Provenance range. The whisky was distilled in Speyside in 2008 and matured in a refill hogshead until March 2016, when it was bottled at 46% ABV as a single cask in a 70cl bottle. Benrinnes sits on the lower slopes of a mountain in Speyside and is known for a meaty, individual make. It is only occasionally seen as an independent bottling. The nose brings oak spice, old leather and honeyed barley. On the palate there is more honey, plenty of vanilla ice cream and a burst of citrus flesh, leading to a finish of brioche and marmalade.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
