This is Benromach 10 Year Old, a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% ABV after maturing in first-fill bourbon and sherry casks. It was the first ten year old to be distilled entirely by the current owners, Gordon & MacPhail, who bought the distillery from Diageo in the late 1990s. The nose is sweet, with green apple, pear and dark honey, soft vanilla and a hint of gentle smoke. On the palate come malted cereal, stewed fruit and warm toffee, with black cherry, spice and a light smoky undertone. The finish is full-bodied and lingering, with malted grain, soft smoke and oak, fading to a warming, bittersweet trail.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
