Benromach 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Gordon and MacPhail-owned Benromach distillery. For its first nine years it was matured in a mix of four parts bourbon casks to one part sherry casks, then spent a final year in sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is dry and malty, with barley, oak, pine, sweet spice, prune and maple fudge. The palate is grassy and slightly herbal, with malt and ground ginger. The finish is bittersweet, with ginger and dry sherry.
