This is an 11-year-old Speyside single malt from Benromach, released as the Traveller's Edition. It matured in first fill oak casks, which give it a creamy structure.
The nose has fruit compote and a little citrus with light spice, while the smoke stays discreetly in the background. The palate opens soft and lightly sweet, then turns to warming spice with oak and ginger and hints of citrus. The finish carries light smoke and lasting sweetness.
