This is a twelve-year-old Speyside single malt from Benromach, part of its Contrasts series. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026. Most of its maturation was in first-fill Bourbon casks. It then spent 26 months in Côte-Rôtie casks, which held red wine from the northern Rhône in France. The distillery's gentle smoke remains alongside the fruit from the wine. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The nose is typically described as ripe summer berries, with vanilla and a light touch of smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
