Benromach 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt at 43% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The spirit spends nine years in a mix of 80% ex-Bourbon and 20% ex-Sherry casks, then is married together in an Oloroso sherry cask for a further six years.
The nose opens with sweet toffee, cracked black pepper and peat smoke, with forest fruits, dark chocolate and dried banana. The palate is creamy and sweet, with ripe apples and charred oak, then dark chocolate, toasted malt and orange peel. The finish is medium and creamy, with soft smoke and dried fruit.
