Benromach 15 Years is a Speyside single malt from one of the smallest distilleries in the region, bottled at 43%.
The house style shows in notes of banana and wild mushrooms, with a little smoke and light vanilla from the cask.
The nose brings warm, aged sherry, vanilla, orange and spicy ginger, with sweet honey and a faint hint of bonfire. The palate offers spiced fruit cake with dried fruit, stewed plums, red apple skin and kiwi, along with toasted oak. The finish carries milk chocolate and lightly charred oak.
