Benromach – 1977/2019 Single Cask Refill American Hogshead #622 (42.1%)

This Benromach is a single cask Speyside single malt, distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2019 at 42.1% from refill American hogshead number 622. Benromach is a family-run distillery in Forres that has, since 1998, kept to a style once typical of Speyside: rich, hand-crafted and accompanied by a light note of smoke. Many Speyside whiskies became lighter and unpeated over time, while Benromach has held to the region's older character.
