Benromach – 1998 20 Year Old 20th Anniversary 1998-2018 Single Cask 1 (70cl, 60.1%)

This is a single cask Benromach 20 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2018 by the distillery's owners, Gordon & MacPhail. It was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at a natural cask strength of 60.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It marks 20 years since distilling began again at Benromach. That followed a five-year restoration after Gordon & MacPhail bought the distillery from United Distillers in 1993. The whisky comes from Cask 1, the first cask filled with new spirit after the rebuild. It was a first fill sherry butt, and it yielded 575 bottles.
