An 11 year old Benromach from 2009, bottled at 48% as the Germany Exclusive Batch and made for the German market.
It is a marriage of four first-fill bourbon casks.
The nose combines sweet vanilla, candied orange peel and a little coconut with stewed apricot and a gentle hint of peat. The palate is soft and creamy, with strong vanilla, forest honey, orange zest, gentle nuttiness and a touch of oak. The finish is long, with candied orange peel, malt and kumquat, and a pleasant note of smoke.
