Benromach 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Benromach distillery, which has been making whisky since 1898. Gordon & Macphail bought the distillery in 1993 and revived an older Speyside style, in which a little local peat once gave a twinge of smoke.
All maturation is in first-fill sherry casks from Spain and new oak casks. The whisky is described as having delicate forest fruits and creamy malt, with a touch of smoke and rich, lasting sherry notes.
