Benromach 2012/2024 Contrasts: High Enzyme - 1st Fill Bourbon Barrels

This is a Speyside single malt from Benromach, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024. It belongs to the Contrasts range and is the High Enzyme expression, matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. The nose is delicate and fresh, with lemon sherbet sweets, malted barley and green apple, followed by jasmine. On the palate it is sweet and creamy, with grapefruit, lemon and lime. Pineapple gives way to honeycomb and peppery spice, and the finish is long and fresh, with oak and peppermint.
