Benromach – 2014-2023 9 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 2 (70cl, 59.7%)

This is a 9 year old Benromach Cask Strength Batch 2, a Speyside single malt distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2023 at the family-owned distillery in Forres. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a natural strength of 59.7% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The batch was vatted from just 20 casks, matured exclusively in first fill Sherry and Bourbon casks. The nose is rich with Sherry and cinnamon, followed by orange and stewed fruit on the palate and a touch of smoke.
