This is a Benromach single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024 in the Contrasts: Peat Smoke series. It matured in a bourbon cask.
The nose is led by very strong smoke, with fragrant vanilla and light citrus peel, then a hint of apple and white chocolate.
The palate is soft, with toasted oak, honey and sweet ripe fruit. Butterscotch and marshmallow lead to lemon sorbet alongside sweet smoke, and the finish carries sweetness and campfire embers.
