Benromach – 2014-2026 12 Year Old Contrasts Côte-Rôtie Wine Finish (70cl, 46%)

A 12 year old Benromach from the Contrasts series, distilled in 2014 and bottled by the distillery in 2026 at 46% ABV without chill filtration. It matured first in first-fill bourbon casks, then spent 26 months in Côte-Rôtie wine casks. Côte-Rôtie is a northern Rhône appellation known for its Syrah-based red wines. The distillery describes warm spice and summer berries on the nose, with dark forest fruits, black pepper and orange zest, followed by a lingering, subtle smoke.
