Benromach 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in first-fill ex-bourbon and sherry casks, bottled by the distillery at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers sweet sherry notes with citrus fruit, ginger, a little oak and soft smoke. On the palate sweetness is balanced by peppery notes of black pepper, alongside ripe Seville oranges, raspberries, baked apples and fine spice.
The finish is long, with toasted oak and pleasant smoke lingering.
