Benromach – 25 Year Old

Benromach 25 is a Speyside single malt from the distillery at Forres, where whisky-making has continued since 1898. Whisky maker Stuart Urquhart leads a team that relies on craft rather than automation. The whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks, filled by hand and stored in traditional dunnage warehouses. It is bottled without chill-filtration. Berry fruit, toffee apple and vanilla lead the nose. On the palate come juicy raisins and zesty orange, moving towards tropical fruit and dried banana, with a light thread of smoke. The finish is long, rounded by ripe oak spice.
