Benromach 39 Year Old is a Speyside single malt distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2022 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection. It comes from a single first fill Burgundy cask, number 3024410, and yielded 202 bottles at a cask strength of 60.1% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
Ripe strawberry, blackberry, creamy toffee and violet mark the nose, with lemon and a little aniseed. On the palate come sweet cherry and ripe orange in soft caramel, with oak spice giving structure. The finish is long, with red fruit and gentle wood spice.
