This is the second batch of the 2022 release of Benromach 40 Year Old, a single malt matured in sherry casks.
The nose is filled with cinnamon, ginger, Seville orange, roasted hazelnut and stewed red berries. The palate offers Morello cherries, baked apple, liquorice, dark chocolate, fruit cake and black pepper. Hints of dark berries and rich oak linger in the finish.
