This is a 40 year old single malt from Benromach, part of the 2022 release and the second batch of that edition. It was matured in sherry casks.
The nose brings cinnamon, ginger, Seville orange, roasted hazelnut and stewed red berries. On the palate there are Morello cherries, baked apple, liquorice, dark chocolate, fruit cake and black pepper, and the finish carries hints of dark berries and rich oak.
