Benromach – Cask Strength Vintage 2014 Batch 3 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (60.6%)

This is a limited-release Speyside single malt from Benromach, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024 at its natural cask strength of 60.6% ABV. It is Batch 3 of the Cask Strength Vintage. The whisky matured for a decade exclusively in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, and it is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration. The nose shows sweet vanilla, fruitcake, brown sugar and spicy ginger, then cinnamon, milk chocolate and oak. The palate is creamy and spicy, with stewed plum, Seville orange and cracked black pepper, then toasted oak and subtle liquorice. The finish is long and full, with lingering smoke and a touch of aniseed.
