Benromach Contrasts 10 Year Old Virgin Oak comes from the Contrasts series, which explores the influence of different casks. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024.
The whisky matured entirely in virgin American oak casks, rather than the ex-bourbon or ex-sherry barrels traditionally used. The virgin oak brings pronounced vanilla and spice, alongside Benromach's subtle smokiness.
It is described as a balance of sweet and spicy elements within the Speyside style.
