Benromach Contrasts: Cara Gold Malt is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46%. It is made from Cara Gold malted barley combined with Benromach's standard lightly peated malt, and matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. It is a limited release.
The nose is perfumed and sweet, with passionfruit, lychee and lime and a hint of malted biscuit. On the palate come pineapple, apricot and subtle pepper, leading to toasted malt and a touch of butterscotch. The finish is vibrant and fruity, with sweet smoke.
