This is a Speyside single malt from Benromach, a limited release in the Contrasts series, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It explores the technical side of distilling. High enzyme, unpeated barley was used to give characteristics more often found in grain whisky than in malt. The whisky matured in first-fill bourbon barrels.
Expect fresh apple and plenty of citrus fruit, with sweet pineapple and honeycomb, alongside notes of jasmine and peppermint.
