Contrasts: Kiln Dried Oak is a 10-year-old Speyside single malt from Benromach, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition and is non-chill-filtered. The whisky was matured exclusively in first-fill virgin oak casks. The nose is waxy, with shortbread, Demerara sugar, cider, toffee-glazed apple, tropical fruit and a subtle smoke. The palate is creamy, with tinned pineapple, menthol, toast, lychee and lemon peel, then ginger, olive oil and nutmeg. The finish is of good length, with a sweet, oily, very subtle smoke and some marzipan.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
