Benromach – Contrasts: Organic 2015/2025 9 Year Old First Fill American Virgin Oak Casks (70cl, 46%)

This is a 9-year-old organic single malt from Benromach, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in first-fill virgin American oak casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. It belongs to Benromach's organic range, certified by the Soil Association and introduced in 2006, and it is made with organic barley malt. The nose combines ripe banana, creamy toffee and vanilla with cocoa powder and oak. On the palate, sweet malt and cereal sit alongside pepper, cinnamon, banana and roasted coffee. The finish is long, dry and woody, with cocoa, toffee and a little pepper.
