Benromach – Contrasts: Organic 2015 (70cl, 46%)

Benromach Contrasts: Organic 2015 is a Speyside single malt made from organically grown barley and accredited by the UK Soil Association. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 at 46%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was matured entirely in virgin American oak casks. Benromach has made its organic whisky since 2006, and this batch pairs a creamy, vibrant flavour with the distillery's subtle smoky edge. The nose brings sweet vanilla, ripe fruit and citrus zest, then toasted malt and green apples. The palate is creamy, with soft pepper and butterscotch, followed by fresh coffee, dried banana and a herbal edge. The finish is long, with aniseed and cocoa powder.
