Benromach Peat Smoke is a small batch single malt from the Contrasts series, matured only in first-fill bourbon barrels. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2023 at eight years old, at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The latest batch is peated to 57PPM, making it the distillery's most intensely peated single malt. The bourbon casks bring sweet vanilla, lemon sherbet and apricot, and the finish is smoky, with bonfire embers.
