Benromach Contrasts: Peat Smoke is a small batch single malt made from heavily peated barley and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels.
The nose is rich with smoke, fragrant vanilla and light citrus zest, with apples and white chocolate developing. On the palate come toasted oak, honey and sweet ripe fruit, then butterscotch, marshmallow and lemon sherbet alongside sweet smoke. The finish is mouth-coating and sweet, with bonfire embers.
