Benromach Organic is the first Soil Association certified organic single malt whisky. It has matured in new oak, and the wood is evident, though toffee and spice come through plenty. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is woody, spicy and malty, with caramel and resin. The palate is oaked and oily, with toffee sweetness, freshly cut overripe fruit and toasty spice. The finish is fresh, with wood shavings.
