Benromach – Organic (70cl, 43%)

Benromach Organic is a Speyside single malt at 43%, in a 70cl bottle. Benromach was founded in 1898 by Duncan MacCallum, then owner of Ben Nevis distillery, and FW Brickmann, a spirits merchant. It closed when the whisky boom ended and Brickmann's company went bankrupt, and production restarted in 1912. After further changes of ownership and closures, Gordon & MacPhail bought it in 1993. Almost five years of rebuilding followed. Prince Charles reopened the distillery exactly 100 years to the day after its founding.
