This is a single cask Benromach from Speyside, distilled on 21 November 2011 and bottled on 1 November 2022 after almost 11 years in the cask. It was filled at 59.2% ABV and 267 bottles of 70cl were produced.
The cask is Polish oak, a pedunculate oak found only in Poland, which gives the whisky its distinctive wood influence.
The tasting notes describe sweet sultanas and stewed fruit alongside restrained dark chocolate, hazelnut and clove, with soft smoke like a campfire burning some way off.
